It's the real Swan Song by Schubert, the last piece written by the Viennese composer, that creates the dialogue for Der Hirt auf dem Felsen (Shepherd on the Rocks), accompanied by the sensual and dreamy sounds of the clarinet. Rounded off by melodies by Mozart and Mahler, this romantic masterpiece is a wonderful homage to Empress Elisabeth of Austria, who loved escaping to the Riviera.
