Château de Chillon
Château de Chillon is located in Veytaux, near Montreux. The castle sits on a rocky island on Lake Geneva since the 12th century. This medieval jewel is the most visited historical monument in Switzerland! Jean-Jacques Rousseau wrote about it in his novel "The New Heloise". It inspired Lord Byron to write « The Prisoner of Chillon ». The Septembre Musical organises concerts in the grandiose Aula Magna, whose ceiling and chimney date from the 15th century.
