The most beautiful songs of Serge Gainsbourg sublimated by a symphony orchestra. This magnificent project was born in Canada in 2016, a project that the great French author-composer would certainly not have disowned. Under the fine pen of Japanese pianist Noboyuki Nakajima, arrangements that highlight the subtlety of Gainsbourg's writing have emerged. A beautiful tribute to the man who cultivated a true love for classical music.
The « petite Anglaise » who never quite got rid of her accent found her pygmalion in France. Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin shared a twelve-year relationship that was as passionate as creative, and whose artistic impact is as intense as ever. Since 2016, Jane Birkin has regularly returned to the stage to perform Gainsbourg’s songs written for her. She will be sharing this joy on stage in Montreux with her daughter Lou Doillon and her friends Carla Bruni and Sandrine Kiberlain.
