Marina Viotti
Born in Switzerland, Marina Viotti has established herself as one of the most distinctive artists of her generation. Initially trained in flute, then in philosophy and literature before devoting herself to singing, she has built an international career marked by remarkable stylistic freedom.
Equally at home in bel canto, French repertoire, chanson, jazz, gospel and other musical worlds, she combines vocal refinement, dramatic presence and artistic curiosity. Her bold and versatile career makes her the ideal interpreter for a programme that moves effortlessly across genres with elegance and wit.
Mark Kurmanbayev
Mark Kurmanbayev is a Kazakh bass who has already attracted attention for the depth, flexibility and theatrical presence of his voice. Raised in Serbia before continuing his training in Austria, he has developed an open and international artistic path.
A member of the Dutch National Opera Studio, he collaborates with leading opera houses and festivals and has particularly distinguished himself in the Russian, French and Italian repertoire. In this programme, his vocal colour provides a noble and warm counterbalance, from Tchaikovsky to Mozart and Rossini.
Todd Camburn
Todd Camburn is an American-Swiss pianist specialising in opera and vocal accompaniment. He has worked as a pianist and répétiteur with major opera houses and institutions, including Santa Fe Opera, the Norwegian National Opera in Oslo, Aachen Opera, the National Theatre Mannheim, the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, the Salzburg Festival and the Tanglewood Festival.
In 1996, he was appointed répétiteur at the Grand Théâtre de Genève, a position he held for twenty-three years. A sought-after chamber musician, he has also accompanied many distinguished singers, including Marina Viotti, Sonya Yoncheva, Marie-Claude Chappuis and Solenn’ Lavanant. Since 2004, he has taught accompaniment at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne.
Antoine Brochot
Born in Paris, double bassist and composer Antoine Brochot studied at the Conservatoire de Bourg-la-Reine before continuing his training at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, where he earned a Master of Arts HES-SO in pedagogy. His musical journey has brought him into contact with artists such as Pierre Boussaguet, Laurent Coq, Yann Dubost, Joe Sanders, Russell Hall and David Binney.
A highly sought-after sideman, he has performed in a wide range of projects, including BLUFF, the Matthieu Trovato Trio, the Gerry Lopez Quartet and Marina Viotti’s About Last Night. His first album as a bandleader was released in 2022; in 2023, his Franco-Swiss quartet won first prize for composition at the Trophées du Sunside. His second album, Because It’s Only Right, was released in 2025 on the Jazz Family label.
