Julian Schad
Julian Schad is a versatile and authentic musician with a distinctive artistic voice. Since completing his Master’s degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he studied in the class of Professor Jack Liebeck, he has appeared on major international stages, including the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Berlin Philharmonie and the
Royal Albert Hall.
Surrounded by music from an early age, his artistic path led him through violin, percussion, trumpet and piano – shaped by the close and inspiring bond with his four siblings. These formative years laid the foundation for a musical
personality that combines technical mastery with emotional depth.
Today, Julian Schad performs as a concert violinist, concertmaster and chamber musician. Beyond this, he is an initiator and curator of innovative concert formats. As the founder and Artistic Director of Klassik 2.0, he pursues the vision of reimagining classical music within contemporary contexts. With the format Klassik 2.0 / Club, launched in 2024, he creates spaces in which tradition and the present enter into a vivid dialogue, reaching new audiences and redefining the concert experience.
Alexander Vicar
Alexander Vičar, born in 1989 in Berlin, studied Composition for Film and Media at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich and Electroacoustic Music and Interactive Media at the University of Manchester.
He composes music for cinema and television films and was nominated for the German Television Award. For theater productions he develops music and sound design, including work at the Residenztheater Munich, Staatstheater Stuttgart, Theater Basel, and the Theatertreffen Berlin with director Urich Rasche.
His artistic research focuses on the intersection of acoustic sound sources and electronic transformation. In doing so, he experiments with new concert and performance formats to create immersive listening experiences.
Max Philip Klüser
Born in 1994, the German pianist Max Philip Klüser first began to learn playing the trumpet, before he commenced on his piano education at the age of twelve. 2007, he was accepted as a student of both instruments in the pre-college programme at the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf, Germany. Even though being a laureate of numerous national trumpet competitions already in his early youth, he decided to devote himself exclusively to the piano at the age of twenty.
Highlights of the previous seasons include concerts at the Kölner Philharmonie, the Arlberg1800 Concert Hall, Solitär Salzburg and the Robert-Schumann-Saal Düsseldorf as well as performances at prestigious music festivals such as Heidelberger Frühling, Allegra-Festival Bulgaria, Düsseldorf Festival! or the International Holland Music Session.
In 2024, he released his highly acclaimed debut album REFLECTIONS on the label ARS Produktion in collaboration with Quintessenz Artists. The album was awarded the Supersonic Audio Award by Pizzicato Magazine. Described by RONDO magazine as an “interpreter of great creative power,” Klüser brings together rarely performed works by Szymanowski, Mozart, and Schubert, alongside a world premiere recording of the Sonatina facile by German composer Jörg Widmann.
Apart from his solo activities, Max Philip Klüser is an enthusiastic chamber musician. Following this passion, he co-founded the ensemble Klangkollektiv Düsseldorf in 2018, which is particularly dedicated to the development of innovative and interdisciplinary concert formats. During his studies, Max Philip Klüser received numerous prizes and scholarships. Among these he was First Prize winner of the van Bremen Piano Competition in Dortmund and a finalist at the International Richard Strauss Piano Competition in Munich. 2017 he has been admitted to the distinguished scholarship programme for musicians granted by the German Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes. Following his bachelor’s studies in Freiburg and Düsseldorf, he completed his master’s degree in Solo Performance in 2018 in the renowned class of Prof. Jacques Rouvier at the University Mozarteum Salzburg. Although still a student at the time, he was appointed as a lecturer at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf in 2019.
